THE Police Regional Office – Davao Region reported four cases of election gun ban violations in the region as of January 20, 2025.PMaj. Catherine Dela Rey, PRO-Davao spokesperson, said that two violations stemmed from police operations, while the other two were from buy-bust operations. Those caught carrying firearms without authorization from the Commission on Elections will face charges of illegal possession of firearms and violating the Omnibus Election Code Gun Ban.

Dela Rey also said that, based on the Joint Security Command Center meeting, the Davao Region is categorized as 'green,' indicating no election-related incidents so far. However, she said that security measures would remain strict, underscoring that 'green' status does not mean dropping vigilance. PRO-Davao continues to collaborate with politicians to assess any potential threats.
