Five persons, including two minors, were arrested after beating an Army reservist who scolded one of them for violating curfew rules in Sampaloc, Manila on Wednesday night.

Police identified the victim as Pfc. Domingo Tapar, 34, member of the 1304th Community Defense Center of the Army Reserve Command.

Investigation showed that while Tapar, along with another Army reservist and a barangay watchman, were conducting patrol at around 8:35 p.m., they saw Martin standing outside his house.
