TWENTY-TWO Filipino crew members of the Houthi-attacked MV Transworld Navigator returned to the Philippines on Tuesday evening, migrant authorities said Wednesday.On Tuesday evening, the Department of Migrant Workers and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration welcomed home 10 of the crew members at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.They were the second batch to return home after the attack in the Red Sea.
Ten Filipino crewmen of M/V Transworld Navigator safely arrived at NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City this evening via Cathay Pacific CX 903. Meanwhile, shortly before midnight on Wednesday, 12 more seafarers arrived, OWWA said.Migration officials led by OWWA Deputy Administrator Mary Melanie Quiño welcomed the Filipino seamen.OWWA said that the repatriates would receive financial assistance from the government.An earlier batch of five Filipino crew members of MV Transworld Navigator returned home last June 30.
