The 31-year-old Mate Ma’a Tonga international was approaching the final year of his contract, the third year of his deal since joining the club from the Super League in 2021, however the Warriors announced his early release on Tuesday. “While we were keen for Ben to remain with us for the full term of his contract, we weren’t in a position right now to offer a further contract beyond this,” said Warriors CEO Cameron George.
