MANILA, Philippines — With the Australian national trail running body campaigning for the inclusion of trail running in the Olympics for 2032, the Philippine Trail Running Association gears up and hones its athletes for the possibility of its addition, PHILTRA Vice President, and Secretary General Tin Ferrera discussed that the council commits to the long-term plan for the trail running athletes, and looks forward for the growth of the sport.
'The trail running association, particularly in Brisbane, Australia is pushing for the inclusion of trail running. If they tapped the Philippines for assists, or if they asked for our help, we will definitely be part of their initiative,' Ferrera added. 'On our end, we are preparing because that is eight years from now, we also consider and look at the age of our participants.
