Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri and seven other people who were supposed to attend President Rodrigo Duterte’s fifth State of the Nation Address on Monday all tested positive for COVID-19.
At least seven other people who were set to attend the event have tested positive for the virus, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said. Aside from the Palace personnel, Deputy Speaker Johnny Pimentel of Surigao del Sur also said he had contracted the coronavirus.
