Workers in Zamboanga Peninsula in the sectors of agriculture, non-agriculture, and establishments with less than 10 workers will receive a P30 minimum wage increase.
In an advisory released by the Department of Labor and Employment on Tuesday, the minimum wage for the agriculture sector will amount to P368, while non-agriculture workers will receive a daily wage of P381.
The wage hike, following the approval of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board in Region IX, will take effect on November 12. According to DOLE, the wage increase is expected to benefit some 56,848 minimum wage earners in the region.
