President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. knows very well that presidential cash aid must be given to Filipino farmers and fisherfolk for being the backbone of the nation’s economy, despite being the country’s poorest sector.
This was the remark of Zamboanga del Sur Governor Victor Yu who thanked the President for personally bringing his office’s “Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families” to the province during his visits in Mindanao.
In response to the impact of El Niño on agriculture, President Marcos conducted non-stop visits on Thursday and Friday to provide assistance to farmers and fisherfolk in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Sultan Kudarat, Cotabato, General Santos, South Cotabato, and Sarangani Province. “When I received the call last week na darating ang ating mahal na Pangulo , nasabi po talaga natin na “Man of Words and Man of Action” . Kaya tayo po sa Sultan Kudarat ay tunay na mapalad,” the Governor said.
