IBA, Zambales — Senior citizens who have birthdays in April, May and June were recognized and feted with a special event organized by the provincial government of Zambales.
The celebration includes cakes, presents, dancing, games, entertainment shows and raffle prizes for the elderly.Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., in his speech, cited the importance of honoring the elderly and recognizing their contributions to the community.'This celebration is our way of telling them they are not forgotten,' Ebdane said.The governor also updated them on the administration's programs and projects.
'Now, the celebrations are now held quarterly in each town,' he said.Along with the gifts, some lucky residents receive cash prizes in games and raffle.In addition to the birthday parties, recent events in Candelaria included the inauguration of a covered court and a new multipurpose hall in Barangay Catol.Governor Ebdane also thanked Zambales 2nd District Rep. Doris Maniquiz, Zambales 1st District Rep. Jay Khonghun, Vice Gov.
