Hopefully, Android users would get it too in the future YouTube TechNave

If you are a YouTube Premium member, you're in luck because YouTube is going to introduce an enhanced 1080p video. However, it seems that it will only benefit iPhone and iPad users.

According to YouTube, the enhanced 1080p is a bitrate version of 1080p. What this means is that the bitrate will offer more information per pixel, hence producing a higher-quality viewing experience. That said, YouTube said that the enhanced 1080p Premium isn't available for Live Streams, Shorts, and uploaded videos that are higher or lower than 1080p.

If you are already on YouTube Premium, the 1080p videos will automatically be in 1080p Premium mode. We suspect that the enhanced 1080p videos could drain your mobile internet data more, so if you want to set it to the standard 1080p, you can still revert it back. Just set your video viewing quality experience manually via the settings within the YouTube app.

YouTube is planning to expand this feature to more devices in the future, so we hope Android users get to enjoy it too. Make sure to update your YouTube app to the latest version, and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
