Will this one finally impress the world? Samsung Exynos TechNave
Allegedly, Samsung is working on a chipset that will feature a custom GPU with plenty of optimisations. The chipset is tentatively named the Exynos 2500 and is unlikely to be ready anytime soon. According to the source, it's a high-performance chipset for Galaxy, which implies that a future Galaxy S series device will be equipped with it.
Samsung is also working with AMD on a GPU for the Exynos 2500 , a high-performance chip for Galaxy. However, it will be based on AMD's IP but will focus on 'catching optimization' — Revegnus April 9, 2023 If this chipset can deliver, Samsung could decide to ditch Qualcomm's flagship chipsets for an in-house solution. The company's chip fabrication arm lags behind TSMC, but is expected to be ready to mass produce 3nm chipsets by 2H 2024. As such, this rumoured Exynos 2500 chipset might only be ready in late 2024 or early 2025.
With the Exynos 2200's failure to impress, it's hard for many to feel excited for the alleged 'dream chip'.
