Wrestling, arnis, judo add to Philippines’ gold medal haul in SEA Games | via gmasportsph
Jason Balabal led the country’s medal-rich campaign in wrestling with a gold medal in the men’s Greco Roman 82kg event. Also winning silver medals were Jason Baucas, Noel Norada, and Michael Cater while Chlovelle Van Adolfo delivered a bronze medal.
In arnis, the country picked up two more gold medals in the women’s full contact padded stick event with Jedah Mae Soriano ruling the lightweight category and Charlotte Tolentino winning at bantamweight. Both prevailed over their opponents, 2-0, in the finals of their respective weight classes. Rena Furukawa, meanwhile, triumphed in the women’s -57kg event in the judo competitions to win another gold medal for the country.
