MANILA, Philippines — The Warner Bros. movie "Wonka" starring Timothee Chalamet as the famous chocolatier in Roald Dahl's books is getting an earlier release date in the Philippines.The movie was initially going to come out in January 2024, likely after the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival had finished, meaning, this new date will serve as an early Christmas treat for Filipinos as one of the first people in the world to see the film.
"Wonka" follows the character's transition as a chocolate seller to an eccentric genius, with the dreams of selling the best chocolate in the world to everyone despite the dominant hold of an elitist chocolate cartel.
