BATU PAHAT: A 51-year-old woman was killed while her husband was injured in a traffic accident at Taman Ayer Hitam, Jalan Kluang here.

Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Ismail Dollah said the couple, who owns a shop selling spectacles, met with an accident on their scooter at about 9.45pm on Sunday .

"They were crossing the road when another motorcycle coming from Ayer Hitam towards Parit Raja rammed into them."Her husband and the other motorcyclist were injured," he said in a statement on Monday . He added that the victim's 55-year-old husband and the other motorcyclist, 37, were being treated at Hospital Batu Pahat.He urged anyone who witnessed the accident to contact investigation officer Insp Mohd Hisyam Ezahar at 07-4327704.
