GRAPHIC WARNING: This story contains details which may be disturbing for some readers.

Nittis described one internal laceration in photographs - taken by the woman and provided by police - as a “significant injury” and “rare” to see after an alleged sexual assault, “although it’s entirely possible that you can get worse injuries”.The doctor said the laceration was extensive, unusual due to its size and “appeared to be curved in shape”.

“He was trying to kiss me, and I was like, ‘no way’. He’s like gotten on top of me, and I was telling him to stop being a dickhead,” the doctor said she was told. She saw the woman again on November 2, 2018, when they reviewed her notes from the first consult, and the woman “corrected” her and said “she was pressured into oral sex, not just sex”, which was added as a handwritten note.
