Spanish woman Beatriz Flamini has emerged from a cave in Granada in southern Spain after she spent the past 500 days living there with no human contact.
The Madrid athlete completed the challenge as an experiment which was monitored by a team of psychologists, scientists and cave specialists without making any contact with her.
She documented her experiences for a documentary using two cameras while she read 60 books and spent time writing, drawing and knitting according toFootage was released of the moment she emerged to the sounds of applause from her team. "I'm still stuck on November 21, 2021. I don't know anything about the world," she said when she came out."I still haven't showered. But then, I'm an extreme sportswoman. I could go another 500 days."
