Over 500 Coles stores will sell grocery items on Uber Eats across Australia in a move to offer customers fast and reliable delivery options.
Coles customers can order their groceries on the Uber Eats app, and expect it at their door within the hour.Sydney, Australia 2021-03-01: Exterior view of Coles supermarket during the COVID-19 pandemic "We're delighted to expand our partnership with Uber Eats to offer Australians a fast, reliable, and affordable option for getting fresh produce and groceries delivered to their doorsteps," Coles General Manager of Digital Operations & Ventures, Claire Pallot, said.
The service includes an in-app messaging system so the gig-economy worker can message the person who made the order in real-time, to inform them if an item they ordered has sold out, or to clarify an order.The Uber Eats driver will pack the groceries themselves, and then drive them to its drop-off location .
