THUNDER BAY – A Thunder Bay woman faces multiple charges, including impaired driving, after colliding with a fire hydrant early Wednesday morning.
Officers observed a broken fire hydrant and a pool of water on the ground at the scene, in the area of Red River Road and Kenogami Avenue, said the Thunder Bay Police Service. “Officers approached the vehicle, which was still running, and observed a female in the driver’s seat slumped over the steering wheel,” the force stated. “Officers turned off the vehicle and woke up the woman. Once awake, police observed multiple signs of impairment.”
