The Sudbury Wolves lost 6-5 in to the Mississauga Steelheads during Saturday’s away game at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre
The Sudbury Wolves fell short of the Mississauga Steelheads, which ended in a 6-5 loss as a result of a shootout.
The game started out strong, with the Wolves dominating the Steelheads with the game’s first three goals, all in the first period, scored by Nick DeGrazia, Quentin Musty and Chase Coughlan. The first period capped off with the Steelheads hitting the net -- a forward momentum they maintained with two subsequent goals in the second period. The third period saw Wolves player Andrew Anania score a goal while short-handed, assisted by David Goyette, which Mississauga answered a minute later with a goal of their own to tie the match.
WIth no goals landing during overtime, a shootout saw the Steelheads land three goals to the Wolves’ one .The game’s attendance was recorded at 2,328, which was less than the 2,676 people who came out to see the team play at the Sudbury Community Arena the previous night.The Sudbury Wolves’ next home game will be on Feb. 17, when they face off against the Erie Otters. It will be the two teams’ first match of the season. The Otters are ranked No. 19 in league standings, while the Wolves are No.
