They might have been outscored but Sudbury kept the pressure on during losing effort down south
The Sudbury Wolves traveled to the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa on Sunday afternoon to take on the Generals and ended up falling 8-5 in a hard fought match.
In terms of shooting, the teams were evenly matched with Sudbury making 38 attempts on net to Oshawa’s 33. Neither team was terribly effective on the power play, as Sudbury went one-for-six while Oshawa went one-for-five. The loss drops Sudbury’s record to 20-22-5-3, which puts them eighth in the Eastern Conference of the OHL and 16th overall. Oshawa improved their record to 21-23-1-4, good enough for ninth in the East and 17th overall.
This paved the way for the high-scoring third which saw the teams pot nine goals over the course of the period.Twenty-five seconds later though, Ty Petrou made it 4-2 for Oshawa . The Pack wasn’t out of gas yet though. At 13:28, Marc Boudreau would score his eighth to make it 6-3 Oshawa.
