Additional holidays, long weekends aimed to kickstart tourism, economy
With the additional holidays and long weekends for 2023, the government aims to boost the country's tourism industry and economy, according to Joseph Morong’s “24 Oras” report on Thursday.
“The longer the time that tourists stay in place, the more likely they will spend more in terms of the number of date and accommodation. Yung ating mga small and medium enterprises makaka-benefit din,” Frasco said.At least 4,000 tourists arrive everyday in Boracay, which is the country’s primary beach destination.
