ALTERNERGY Holdings Corp. on Friday said that the first batch of wind turbine generators for its Tanay power project was now in the country.
The shipment, which included 12 pieces of 90-meter wind blades and other components, arrived by ocean barge at Alternergy Tanay Wind Corp.’s jetty at the Dinahican Port in Infanta, Quezon.The turbines, supplied by Envision Energy, each have three 90-meter blades. Once installed, the wind turbine towers will reach a height of almost 200 meters or about 60 stories tall.
The company said that six to seven additional shipments were expected in the coming months.“We are excited to see this project take shape and make a real, lasting impact on the country’s energy landscape,” Hedeager said.“We remain fully engaged with our partners, local stakeholders and government agencies to ensure the successful completion of this landmark project.
