A lot like the disastrous Kevin Rudd government that ended with its leader being replaced after two and a half years, this Labor government is going south quickly. Let's see if the voters of Aston can notice the smell, writes Rocco Loiacono.

In 2008 Rudd had the best poll numbers of all time. His Assistant Treasurer was Chris Bowen, whose brilliant scheme to address cost of living pressures was “Grocery Watch”.After that followed the pink batts scandal, where a royal commission found that the Rudd government failed to protect the young, inexperienced installers who were used to roll-out its $2.8 billion home insulation scheme, resulting in the tragic deaths of four young men.

Rudd decided to abandon fighting again for what he once described as “the greatest moral challenge of our time”. We also may well have a repeat of what happened in 2009 in relation to Albanese’s climate change legislation. Note the family law reforms being promised by the government that would end any notion of shared parental responsibility.

What is the point of a religious school that is forced to employ teachers whose lifestyle clashes with the tenets of its faith?
