Lino Cayetano may be an independent candidate in the political arena, but in the world he first called home — show business — he has never stood alone.
'Sa industriya natin, walang imposible kapag nagtutulungan. Dala ko ang natutunan ko sa showbiz — kung paano bumuo ng isang mahusay na produksyon at kung paano ang bawat tao sa likod ng camera ay may mahalagang papel ,' the respected filmmaker and producer shares at a casual gathering organized by two of his staunchest supporters — Regal Entertainment's dynamic mother-and-son tandem, Roselle Monteverde and Keith Monteverde-Teo — just before the weekend.
He once viewed public office as a messy arena best left to seasoned politicians, but witnessing the power of effective leadership firsthand reshaped his beliefs. The crisis showed him how governance, when done with competence and heart, could create a tangible and lasting impact on people's lives.'At the end of the day, I want people to really think about who they vote for. And I want deserving people to win. If that's not me, then so be it.
