Shortly after assuming office, Trump signed an executive order directing the United States to withdraw from the WHO, an organization he has repeatedly criticized for its management of the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, the WHO has been reviewing its priorities in anticipation of the US withdrawal, its largest donor. Regarding HIV, the agency stated on Tuesday that its programs provide access to 'life-saving HIV therapy to more than 30 million people worldwide.'
