Earlier this year, the WHO affirmed that AI holds promise in revolutionizing global health through enhanced tools for surveillance, drug development, management, diagnosis, treatment and patient care, with the potential to enhance service accessibility, mitigate workforce deficiencies and cut down health care expenditures.However, realizing the full potential of AI hinges on effective governance, equitable access, robust data practices, regulatory frameworks and policy implementations, it said.
