SHANNON LEE/CAPE BRETON POST - ContributedSYDNEY, N.S. — Members of the Canadian Council of the Blind were at the Mayflower Mall Wednesday for White Cane Week to raise public awareness of the challenges those with vision loss face each day.
Lewis, who was employed as a registered nurse, noticed a significant decline in her vision during a shift. “Anyone with a vision problem should see their optometrist or ophthalmologist,” she said. “Keep an eye on your vision.”
