October is set to be the warmest on record in Metro Vancouver, according to a Weather Network meteorologist. And there is no end in sight.

“The whole drought situation is highly unusual. It is extraordinarily widespread across B.C. and checking the computer models I am not sure when it ends, to be honest. We could be in for another dry couple of weeks and that would challenge some of the driest Octobers on record. At this point, there is really no hard ending to the drought conditions across Vancouver.”Article content

“Drought conditions often reinforce drought conditions,” Hamilton said. “That’s the problem, you get a feedback. Storms tracks want to avoid us.”
