When they weren’t breaking down, the parties’ campaign buses zigzagged across the state. And where they stopped tells an interesting story.

, the Labor and Liberal campaign buses spent the week taking their leaders – and half the city’s press pack – zigzagging across the state in a final bid to conjure up enough votes to win Saturday’s state election.

Chris Minns boarded his bus with Labor colleagues Courtney Houssos, Daniel Mookhey, John Graham, Penny Sharpe, Jo Hayden, and deputy leader Prue Car last Sunday. The premier started his week in the electorate of Heffron which is held by Labor on a safe margin of 15 per cent. There, he announced a re-elected Liberals and Nationals government would look into raising the speed limit in the WestConnex tunnel.

Perrottet also took the day out of Sydney, visiting a horse stable in the marginal Liberal seat of Goulburn before heading towards Camden, in the south-west. Perrottet and Minns both had a quieter day before that. The premier only visited Quakers Hill in the north-west .Minns spent a chunk of his Thursday in the seat of Goulburn, where Labor hasn’t won for more than 50 years . The opposition leader, who has promised to scrap the public sector wages cap, visited Yass District Hospital.
