” Senate President Francis Escudero quickly announced the scrapping of Sara’s impeachment trial in light of the ruling. But 10 days later, House Speaker Martin Romualdez filed a motion for reconsideration with the Supreme Court, saying the court had erred in concluding that four complaints had been initiated against the vice president. Only one complaint was initiated by the House, Romualdez said, the three others were initiated by some members, but not by the House.
