This prompted Governors Arthur Defensor Jr. of Iloilo province, Esteban Evan Contreras of Capiz province, Rhodora Cadiao of Antique province, and Eugenio Jose Lacson of Negros Occidental province to appeal to the national task force to reconsider. They all fear that it may cause a sudden spike of COVID-19 cases when people are allowed to freely go out.
