SCRAMBLING to meet sin-tax collection goals, the Bureau of Internal Revenue announced it plans to ramp up actions to curb the illegal trade in vape products.

“I have ordered weekly raids, wherever they may be found. Walang illicit vape smuggler kung walang illicit vape retailer/reseller ,” Lumagui said. The floor price of 2-milliliter nicotine salt pods is set at P180.67, while a 10-milliliter bottle costs P679.12. Conventional “freebase” or “classic nicotine vape products are priced at P181.72 for a 10-milliliter bottle and P263.73 for a 30-milliliter bottle. Lumagui earlier said that the government had lost P300 million in tax revenues from the 270,000 vape products seized by the BIR since it began cracking down on the trade.
