The trailer gives us a first listen at some of the musical's most memorable songs.

Netflix released the official trailer for their adaptation ofshowing a film that stays faithful to the Tony Award-winning production it is based on.The two-minute trailer begins by giving us our first glimpse at Matilda herself , her wild imagination, and her signature love for reading, set to a clip of Weir’s rendition of the song “When I Grow Up.”

As the trailer plays on, we are introduced to Matilda’s kindhearted teacher Miss Jennifer Honey , as well as her abusive parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood . It also shows a glimpse of Matilda’s tyrannical headmistress Ms. Trunchbull, played by an almost unrecognizable Emma Thompson, as she terrorizes Matilda and her schoolmates.

Towards the end of the trailer, we catch a clip of the film’s rock anthem, “Revolting Children,” and see the conflict between the Trunchbull and Matilda come to a head.is the second movie adaptation of the 1988 book by Roald Dahl, and the first film adaption of the 2011 West End musical of the same name.with reports from Jacob Tambunting/ Rappler.com
