Shane Warne's three children and his ex-wife have taken to social media to share emotional tributes to the King of Spin marking one year since his sudden death.
The former leg-spinner died suddenly from a heart attack while on a boy’s trip to Koh Samui, Thailand in March 2022 aged 52 with the news sparking an outpouring of emotion from cricket fans worldwide.
The King of Spin’s only son Jackson led the tributes with a montage of inspirational movie clips about making the most of life with a picture of himself with Warne.Jackson’s mother commented: “Dad would be so proud of you, he loved you more than you could ever imagine. He always wanted to be the best dad, always in your heart.”
Warne’s eldest daughter Brooke also posted a tribute with a video of herself playing and laughing hysterically with her father as a toddler along with a series of pictures and videos of fond memories. Warne’s close relationship with his children was well publicised and Summer revealed at his state memorial he “saved" her during a troubling time in a period of her life where she fought"demons".
