WA Premier Mark McGowan stands firm on the government's wages offer to police and nurses, but offers a payment to hit their bank accounts as soon as possible, while leaving the door open to further negotiations.

"That will go into police officers' and nurses' bank accounts as soon as we can administratively do it," Mr McGowan said Industrial Relations Minister Bill Johnston said this style of payments had been made previously in the negotiations.
