COMELEC to strictly implement health standards as voter registration resumes Sep.1

COMELEC spokesperson Dir. James Jimenez said the filing of applications will now be from Tuesdays to Saturdays, including holidays, from 8a.m. to 3p.m., at the Office of the Election Officer as stated in an advisory dated August 31.Those who will register are encouraged to download the application form from the Comelec website and fill it out. Applicant voters will be required to affix their signatures before the Election Officer at the Comelec office.

The Comelec is also imposing the “No Face Mask and Face Shield, No Entry” policy on the day of the filing of registration.The COMELEC will also limit the number of registrants or transactions per day. All other health and safety protocols, such as physical distancing, checking of body temperature, sanitizing of hands and footwear, among others will be imposed.
