BERLIN: Volkswagen's core brand is expanding its electric range upwards with the new ID.7 saloon, expanding VW's electric mobility ambitions but without responding to criticism that battery drive remains unaffordable to most buyers.
Unveiled in Berlin and other cities on Monday, the ID.7 will be on display at the Shanghai motor show in the second half of April. One of the most important model launches for Volkswagen last year was the ID.Buzz electric bus. In addition, the series version of the ID.2 small car, which was recently unveiled in concept form, should be ready by 2026 at the latest, and a mini model for less than €20,000 is also being developed.
