KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 — A family in Oregon, US is appealing to motorists who picked up money thrown by a relative on a highway recently, to return it as they need it.
Colin Davis McCarthy, had withdrawn US$200,000 from the bank in US$100 denominations before throwing it from the window of his car, leading to chaotic traffic. Oregon State Police said McCarthy performed the stunt at about 7.23pm on April 11 and when questioned, the 38-year-old said he was doing well and wanted to share the money with others,
