THE Department of Health on Friday, July 3, 2020, reported 1,531 additional cases of infection, a new single-day high since the coronavirus disease 2019 outbreak began.The DOH also reported that 400 patients have recovered, increasing the recoveries to 11,073. This is the highest number of recoveries reported in a single day.Among the newly-reported cases, 688 are fresh cases while 843 are late cases.
Globally, as of July 3, there have been 10,662,536 confirmed cases of infection, including 516,209 deaths, according to the World Health Organization.
