VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur – The cities of Vigan and Candon, along with two towns, were placed under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) effective August 7 until August 21 to eliminate and prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
– The cities of Vigan and Candon, along with two towns, were placed under modified enhanced community quarantine effective August 7 until August 21 to eliminate and prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease .As of August 7, the province has recorded 48 positive cases of COVID-19, of which 15 were listed in Vigan City, eight in Candon City, four in Magsingal, and two in Caoayan.
Singson said that strict observance of the health protocols under MECQ guidelines was already being implemented in these four LGUs. Healthcare, manufacturing of essential goods, delivery and courier services, and other businesses, as well as essential private and public construction projects, are allowed to operate.
