A worker at Point Hope Maritime experienced a severe back spasm that resulted in an emergency response team being activated to get her out of the confined area she was working. Victoria Police was called to assist and says the worker was in a confined space that needed some additional rescue expertise.

Riccardo Regosa, general manager of Point Hope Maritime, tells CHEK News in an email statement that the shipyard’s emergency response team was activated to safely get her out of the location she was working.Sign up for our newsletter to get breaking news and daily digests sent to your email.“I have not heard yet regarding her medical assessment,” Regosa said in the email.
