Single mom Elisa Pitt and her young son lived in the housing unit right next door to where the fire started on Irwin Street on Oct. 15 and she's homeless. To start over, she's asking for help from the Prince George community.

Living in the unit next door to where the fire started on Irwin Street that destroyed an Elizabeth Fry Society housing unit on Oct. 15, single mom Elisa Pitt and her young son find themselves homeless.

On Thursday the same place got lit up again causing more damage and The Citizen’s reports on both the fires prompted Elisa to reach out to say she’s still in a women’s shelter with her son and looking for another housing option to open up. Having been left with nothing but the clothes on their backs to escape the fire, Elisa is asking the Prince George community to help by donating to the go-fund-me page set up by her mom.

“I was a tenant in unit 120 of the building that experienced the fire on Irwin Street on October 15th of this year,” Elisa explained in an email when she reached out for help. “I don’t have any family in town and we are currently living in a women’s shelter and doing our best to rebuild. We have received an outpouring of support from the community but we still have a long ways to go and it would make such a difference for us.
