Vice Mayor Ma. Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan joined the Manila Summer Pride at the Kartilya ng Katipunan in Manila on Sunday, April 3.
“Ang pagkakapantay-pantay ay hindi tungkol sa pagtingin sa iba’t ibang bagay nang magkatulad, bagkus ito ay tungkol sa pagtanggap sa iba’t ibang mga bagay na talaga naman may pagkaka-iba iba. Respeto lang ,” she said.Lacuna thanked the incumbent Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Arts of Manila on leading the celebration in collaboration with Bekshie ng Maynila.
Meanwhile, Lacuna was joined by Vice Mayoralty candidate Yul Servo Nieto, Liga ng mga Barangay President Lei Lacuna, and Councilor JTV Villanueva. Manila Summer Pride is the first celebration through a float parade competition for the LGBTQ+ community in the city.
