“All of them are mpox Clade II. Wala pa kaming nakitang mpox Clade 1b sa Pilipinas. Yung II, very mild, self-limiting, at tsaka ang transmission niya ay skin-to-skin contact,” ayon kay Health Secretary Ted Herbosa. Ang pinakabagong kaso ng mpox case ay isang residente mula sa Maco, Davao de Oro. Magaling na umano ang pasyente pero may dalawa pang suspected cases sa Maco at sa Nabunturan.
Sa hiwalay na ulat ng GMA Regional TV News nitong Biyernes, sinabing iniutos ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Davao del Sur sa kanilang mga residente na magsuot ng face mask sa enclosed areas at public spaces, gaya ng health care facilities, pamilihan, public transportation, offices, schools, simbahan, at mga business establishments.
