To boost its support for the National coronavirus disease Vaccination program, volunteers and staff of Philippine Red Cross boarded boats to return to Talim Island in Rizal on Saturday, Oct. 16, to vaccinate individuals under the prioritization groups.
Early this week, PRC vaccinated A2 or senior citizens and A3 or persons with comorbidities with their second dose of Sinovac in the island. PRC Health Services, volunteers and staff from the Rizal Chapter and the local government unit of Cardona, Rizal aimed to vaccinate 300 individuals against COVID-19. These residents received their first dose of Sinovac on Sept. 14.“Hinding hindi kami titigil sa paghatid ng serbisyo para sa ating mga kababayan. Tuloy-tuloy lang tayo sa pagbabakuna ,” PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dick Gordon said.As of Oct.
Additionally, 121,544 individuals have now been fully vaccinated by the humanitarian organization: 222,164 in the PRC Bakuna Centers, and 89,715 in the PRC Bakuna Buses. Outside the vaccine, the PRC shoulders all other costs under the COVID-19 Vaccination Program of the government, including but not limited to, syringes, mobilization, and vaccinator allowances.
