Ushering education department into the world of coding
HOW to ease the burden of teachers who are also tasked with doing administrative work in our schools? One way is through coding. Education Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara said last week that our education system has been aiming to incorporate coding into the curriculum. The use of technology will allow teachers to focus on teaching instead of administrative tasks. For example, automated grading systems can save teachers up to 20 hours a month, allowing more time for personalized instruction.
With the ability to code, teachers can design interactive lessons, educational games and simulations that cater to various learning styles. The Philippine Science High School has implemented a coding curriculum that improved student performance in STEM subjects by 30 percent. The school used project-based learning to engage students in real-world problem-solving.This customization fosters a more engaging learning environment and helps students grasp complex concepts more easily.
