“The peso’s appreciation may likewise temper any upward pressure on the generation charge,” Zaldarriaga said. Meanwhile, oil firms raised the price of gasoline by P2.60 per liter, kerosene by P1.90 per liter, and diesel by P1.70 per liter effective Tuesday as world oil prices surged following the decision of Saudi Arabia and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries to cut its oil output.
