Two players on the UPEI Panthers women’s hockey team have been honoured with individual AUS awards.

Orianna MacNeil was named rookie of the year, and Lexie Murphy is the league’s top defensive player for 2022-23. Other AUS major award winners announced by the league on Feb. 22 are fourth-year UNB goaltender Kendra Woodland – AUS MVP, Dalhousie University’s Izzy Weist – most sportsmanlike player, Saint Mary’s Eve LeBlanc – student-athlete community service, and St. FX head coach Ben Berthiaume – women’s hockey coach of the year.UPEI women's hockey team advances to semifinals against UNB RedsMacNeil, a first-year kinesiology student from Mabou, N.S.
