The UPEI Panthers’ Troy Lajeunesse, 91, releases a shot while the Dalhousie Tigers’ Jarrett Baker attempts to provide a distraction. The action took place during the Tigers’ 3-2 overtime win in an Atlantic University Sport Men’s Hockey Conference game at MacLauchlan Arena on Feb. 26. Dalhousie won the game 3-2. Lajeunesse is the recipient of the Don Wells Trophy as the 2022-23 AUS men's hockey most sportsmanlike player.
A second-year business student from Arnprior, Ont., Hawel led the AUS and finished third in U Sports in points with 39 .Richard, an arts student from Sainte-Catherine, Que., started in 22 games for the Reds. In just his first year, he led U Sports with a goals against average of 1.59. His .933 save percentage was the best in the Atlantic conference and the second best in the country.
