Driver left roadway, crashed into unoccupied vehicles on driveway, causing extensive damage
Updated April 20 at 10 a.m. Greater Sudbury Police have located the vehicle and driver involved in the hit and run incident.
The driver of the vehicle has been issued a summons under the Highway Traffic Act for Fail to Remain.Original story: Greater Sudbury Police are looking for information that could lead to a driver who crashed into and damaged two unoccupied vehicles in a driveway on Third Avenue early this morning. Just after 6:35 a.m. April 17, officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Third Avenue in Greater Sudbury.
Information provided was that at around 6:12 a.m. a light blue Subaru sedan was travelling northbound on Third Avenue, when the vehicle left the road, travelled onto the lawn of a residence and struck two unoccupied vehicles in the driveway. The collision caused extensive damage to both vehicles in the driveway.Anyone with information related to this collision or the involved vehicle is asked to contact police at 705-675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.
